The North Head Lookout is 40 minutes north by car from the Sydney CBD. Situated out by Manly Beach, it has some of the most picturesque views of the city and Tasman Sea. Spend the day mooching around the Manly shops and beach and finish at the lookout for the sunset. Perfect!
Sydneys CBD is home to one of the most amazing Botanical Gardens in Australasia. Located in the CBD, it is the perfect picnic spot. Pack some lunch and a blanket and watch the clouds float by. From colourful flowers, roses and succulents a wonderful place to let the kids explore too. Time your visit for one of the excellent free tours on offer.
Exploring The Rocks is a must during your stay in Sydney. Dining out however, is not cheap as it as an exclusive, up-market area. Enjoy a lunch and then enjoy a cost free afternoon at The Rocks Discovery Centre. Free of charge entry, it is a great place to view the Aboriginal heritage.
