What We Love
Perched on the top floor of a well-maintained building on Greycliffe Street, this three-bedroom apartment offers a genuinely comfortable base for exploring one of Sydney's most beloved coastal stretches.
The open-plan living and dining area is bright and airy, with large windows that frame sweeping views across Manly Beach and the Norfolk pines lining the foreshore. The space is nicely furnished throughout with clean lines, coastal tones, and practical touches that make it easy to settle straight in. A gas fireplace anchors the living room, adding a cosy dimension on cooler evenings, and a wall-mounted television means nights in are just as enjoyable as days out. The dining table seats eight, perfect for gathering after a long day at the beach, and the fully equipped kitchen sits adjacent with a generous island bench, four bar stools, and everything you need to cook from scratch: a full-sized fridge, gas stove top, oven, dishwasher, and microwave. Ducted air conditioning runs throughout the entire apartment, keeping things cool in summer and comfortable year round. Step out onto the private balcony and the views open up properly, Manly Beach stretches out in front of you, with direct access to the sand just moments from the front door. The balcony is furnished with a loveseat, two armchairs, and a coffee table, making it the natural spot to start the morning with a coffee or wind down as the afternoon light shifts. Back inside, the first and second bedrooms each feature a queen bed with quality linen and built-in wardrobe storage, while the third bedroom is set up with a double bed, equally well-appointed. The main bathroom, complete with a bath, services both bedrooms, while the master bedroom enjoys its own ensuite with a shower. An internal laundry with both a washing machine and dryer rounds out the practical side of things, so longer stays feel genuinely easy.
Queenscliff sits at the northern end of Manly Beach, a little quieter than the main strip but just as close to everything worth doing. The beach is right below you, and the famous coastal walk to Freshwater Beach begins just around the corner, passing the historic Manly Wormhole and rewarding walkers with some of the best ocean views on the Northern Beaches. The Queenscliff rock pool, a free 50-metre ocean pool, is an easy stroll for a morning lap when the surf is up.

The Neighbourhood
- Queenscliff Living Direct paths lead to Queenscliff Beach, where morning swims and afternoon surf sessions become daily practice rather than weekend ambition. Manly's main strip sits minutes south along the foreshore, offering the full sweep of cafes, restaurants, and boutiques when the mood calls for it. For something quieter, Freshwater Village is a short drive north and delivers coffee, groceries, and local services with a neighbourhood feel that's hard to replicate closer to the beach.
- Cafe & Dining La Loca Cafe handles the morning ritual with skill, set just back from the northern end of Manly Beach and well worth building a routine around, while PICO in Curl Curl serves coffee worth the short drive when you want a change of scene. Deep Sea Food delivers fish and chips that taste of the ocean just below. For dinner, Cibaria at the Manly Pacific or Hugos Manly brings waterfront Italian to the neighbourhood, and Pilu at Freshwater, a short drive north, offers Italian coastal cooking and ocean views that match the menu's Mediterranean spirit. For special occasions, Bert's at Newport Arms sits 15 minutes north, where the lunch is worth every minute of the drive. If you're looking for something with Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, a vibrant cocktail menu, and stunning waterfront views, Manly Pavilion delivers all this in a charming 1933 heritage setting.
- Beach & Wellness Queenscliff Beach offers calmer surf than Manly's southern end, making it ideal for learning or perfecting technique. The coastal walk south traces the headland past the Manly Wormhole and connects through to Shelly Beach, one of Sydney's most sheltered swimming spots. North, the path links Freshwater to Curl Curl and beyond, tracing headlands and rock pools for kilometres. The Queenscliff ocean rock pool offers a free 50-metre lap option when the swell picks up. Yoga studios and Pilates classes operate near Manly, while the beachfront path serves runners and cyclists who prefer ocean air to gym interiors.
- Day Trips Sydney CBD sits 30 minutes by ferry from Manly Wharf, placing harbour icons and city attractions within easy reach without ever needing a car. The Northern Beaches stretch north through Curl Curl, Dee Why, Narrabeen and beyond, each pocket offering different conditions and coastal character. Head south via ferry and Taronga Zoo, the Royal Botanic Garden, and the Opera House precinct are all within reach of the same journey.
Getting Around
- Public Transport: Bus stops on Queenscliff Road, right outside the property, are served by routes 166 and 167, with services running every 10 minutes throughout the day and into the evening. These routes connect directly to Manly Wharf, where the iconic F1 Manly Ferry departs for Circular Quay — a 30-minute scenic harbour crossing that is a Sydney experience in itself. The Manly Fast Ferry offers a quicker 18-minute crossing. Opal cards or tap-and-go with a credit or debit card cover all journeys.
- Uber: Rideshare services such as Uber are readily available throughout Manly and Queenscliff, making it easy to get around at any time of day.
- Car Share (GoGet): GoGet car share operates in the Manly and Queenscliff area and is a practical option for day trips or exploring the Northern Beaches without the hassle of bringing your own car. Vehicles can be booked by the hour or day via the GoGet app, with fuel and insurance included. Once signed up, access is simple and straightforward. A handy option given that street parking in the area can be limited, particularly on weekends.
