  • Darling Street is the perfect place for a stroll when you’re hungry. The epicurious will delight in its varied array of cuisine, from French to Italian, right on your doorstep. We recommend Dolce Napoli Balmain for a rustic local fave.
  • For a refreshing dip on a hot summer’s day, head to the Dawn Fraser Baths. A saltwater tidal pool with heritage-listed 1880s architecture, it’s the ideal spot for sunbathing or swimming during the summer.
  • For a scenic walk with views of the old and new, visit Ballast Point Lookout for a picnic or just some peace and quiet.
  • Explore one of the city’s oldest pubs, the London Hotel, where you can drink, dine, and relax in a classic space with views of the city.

There are great public transport links around this property, and you’re welcome to bring your own car. If you don't have a car we recommend a number of car-sharing apps such as Uber and Taxify. Take the ferry under Harbour Bridge to Circular Quay, or go from Balmain East to Barangaroo. There are also a number of buses crossing the Anzac Bridge to the CBD.
