What We Love

Step inside and notice original timber floorboards running throughout, while high ceilings give the rooms an easy sense of space. The bright dining room, anchored by a round timber table with seating for six, is the natural heart of the apartment, catching good natural light through a run of double-hung windows. - Cafes & Dining: Start the morning at Baker Bleu, a neighbourhood favourite known for its exceptional bread and pastries, the croissants alone are worth the visit. For a leisurely brunch, Indigo Double Bay is a local staple with a relaxed atmosphere and a menu that consistently delivers. Come evening, Matteo serves up some of the best Italian in the Eastern Suburbs, with a warm, convivial dining room that feels equally suited to a quiet dinner for two or a gathering with friends. The Golden Sheaf and the Royal Oak Hotel are both solid choices for a cold drink in good company, while Bibo Wine Bar in Double Bay offers a more refined setting for a glass of natural wine and small plates to share.
- Shopping & Parks: The boutique shopping strips of Double Bay and Paddington are both within easy reach, offering a relaxed mix of independent fashion labels, homewares, galleries and day spas that reward an aimless wander. The walk itself stretches around six kilometres along some of Australia's most dramatic coastline, passing through Tamarama, Bronte, Clovelly and Gordon's Bay before arriving at Coogee Beach. Along the way there are ocean pools, clifftop lookouts, grassy reserves and plenty of spots to stop for a swim or a coffee.
Getting Around

Frequent bus services on New South Head Road connect to Bondi Junction, Bondi Beach, Kings Cross and the city. Double Bay Wharf, a short walk away, also offers regular ferry services.
