What We Love

Set within the upper floors of a handsome red-brick Art Deco building, the apartment is reached through a charming arched entranceway and a lush garden courtyard filled with established palms and manicured hedges. This two-bedroom apartment combines period character with practical, modern finishes. Blending the warmth of a well-curated home with the ease of a fully equipped stay, it is a natural fit for those seeking a comfortable base in one of Sydney's most connected Eastern suburbs pockets.

Step inside and notice original timber floorboards running throughout, while high ceilings give the rooms an easy sense of space. The bright dining room, anchored by a round timber table with seating for six, is the natural heart of the apartment, catching good natural light through a run of double-hung windows. The kitchen is clean and functional with white cabinetry, dark benchtops and a black mosaic tile splashback.   • Cafes & Dining: Start the morning at Baker Bleu, a neighbourhood favourite known for its exceptional bread and pastries, the croissants alone are worth the visit. For a leisurely brunch, Indigo Double Bay is a local staple with a relaxed atmosphere and a menu that consistently delivers. Come evening, Matteo serves up some of the best Italian in the Eastern Suburbs, with a warm, convivial dining room that feels equally suited to a quiet dinner for two or a gathering with friends. The Golden Sheaf and the Royal Oak Hotel are both solid choices for a cold drink in good company, while Bibo Wine Bar in Double Bay offers a more refined setting for a glass of natural wine and small plates to share.
  • Shopping & Parks: The boutique shopping strips of Double Bay and Paddington are both within easy reach, offering a relaxed mix of independent fashion labels, homewares, galleries and day spas that reward an aimless wander.
